Today your child brought home a salmon colored note that has your conference time. Please look for it in their backpacks. During conferences, the book fair will be in the Science Lab this year. They have some great books and other items. The money raised from the book fair goes to provide RIF books for TES students.
On Wednesday, we had a visit from the Tonganoxie Historical Society. Susie Ross brought a lot of artifacts to show us and taught us a lot about how the Native Americans lived in Kansas hundreds of years ago. This was a great addition to what we learned on our field trip to the museum in Topeka. We really appreciate their visit.
If your family would like to visit the Tonganoxie Historical site, they are now open Tuesdays 9-4; Wednesdays 9-noon; and Sundays 1-4, year round, with some closings on holidays. Their website is TonganoxieHistoricalSociety.org.
Since next week is a short week there will be no spelling test. Please continue to read with your child and help them practice sight words. :)
If your child wants to check out new library books, have them bring them in and they can go during open library time. There will be no classes scheduled due to the short week.
I am looking forward to visiting with everyone next week! Have a great weekend!!
